Wastewater transmission-line realignment is inching ahead after drilling components were assembled in an open pit in Old Town Victorville on Monday.

Later this week, construction crews will tunnel north from the pit at Seventh and C streets and push pipeline casings toward a similar pit being dug north of D Street and the BNSF railroad tracks.

The work is part of the Upper Narrows Pipeline Replacement Project overseen by the Victor Valley Wastewater Reclamation Authority.
