Travel can depend on your position, your specialty, and on your desire to travel. We strive to keep our crews local to our regions in Seattle, Portland, and San Diego but opportunities may present themselves to work cross-regionally.

Each region is staffed with a regional safety manager (RSM) that helps ensure the safety of our job sites and our team. Our RSM provides training on specialty topics, as well as routine training for standard knowledge and compliance purposes. While our Regional Safety Managers do a great job, they are also not afraid to reach out to agencies that specialize in certain topics to ensure our team gets the best training possible.
Our projects range in size and specialty. From small projects under a million dollars to joint ventures over 150 million dollars, we do it all.
We primarily work out of our Seattle, Portland, and San Diego regions, but will provide our services wherever they are requested. Beyond our regions, we've completed projects in North Dakota, Hawaii, Utah, and Kentucky to name a few states!
Your work week and hours depend on your position within J.W. Fowler and the project you are on. While most projects have a Monday through Friday, daytime work schedule, some projects do require night and weekend work.
