This project will improve traffic, bike, and pedestrian flow through South Beach. While there is currently no traffic impact, construction is set to start this Spring. Once construction begins, residents can expect slight delays, some construction noise, and lane closures. TripCheck is a great resource for the most current information on traffic and other construction impacts.
James W. Fowler Co. will work on removing the existing traffic signal at the U.S. 101 and 32nd Street intersection, constructing a new traffic signal at the U.S. 101 and 35th Street intersection, constructing a new 35th Street connection to SW Anchor Way and SE Ferry Slip Road, installing sidewalks and bike lanes, and including stormwater treatment facilities.
