About the Company James W. Fowler Co. was founded in 1970 by James and Candace Fowler in Dallas, Oregon.  Beginning with a single bulldozer, Jim began building logging and farming roads in the Coast Range of western Oregon.  With additional growth came the opportunity for larger projects located throughout the state of Oregon. Today, James W. Fowler Co. is a diversified general contractor providing industrial, transportation, underground and tunneling construction solutions for municipalities, agencies, and private owners across the United States.  Our industrial division specializes in water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, treatment equipment and controls installation or modification.  The transportation division has successfully completed complex freeway work including overpass construction and widening to simple bridge deck overlays.  Fowler’s underground division has the expertise to complete water and sewer utility projects requiring complex trench and shaft shoring and excavation.  The tunneling division has constructed a variety of challenging projects utilizing microtunneling, auger boring and pipe ramming technology. Each division of James W. Fowler Co. represents years of intense research, extensive knowledge and a wide range of experience.  By taking a proactive stance in leadership, we have been able to build relationships, both within and outside our company, based upon mutual respect and integrity.  Our goal is to provide excellent service which is apparent not only in the finished project but also in the manner in which the work is performed.
